Raat phir mujhe sataya chand ne,

Tere na hone ka ehsas dilaya chand ne.

Na so saka ik pal k liey bhi,

Apne chehre mein tera aks dikhaya chand ne.

Udaas hua jub b main teri yaad mein,

Teri tarha mujhe behlaya chand ne.

Hairat hui mujhe yeh dekh kr,

Kis qadar wafa ko nibhaya chand ne.
