Yun hi saj dhaj ke rehny se kahan taqdeer banti hai,
Dua jazby na orhay to kahan taaseer banti hai ,

Takhayyul mein ager parwaaz ki taaqat nahi shamil,
To rangon ko sajaany se kahan tasveer banti hai ,

Jigar ke zakham hi to daastan mein rang bharty hain,
Werna lafz likhny se kahan tehreer banti hai ,

Shikasta manzaron ki kirchiyaan ankhon mein chubhti hain,
Ke deewanon ke khwabon ki kahan tabeer banti hai .
