Dekho gai humein roz magar baat na ho gi
Ik shehar mein rah kar bhi mulaqat na ho gi
Kehna hai jo kah dalo, abhi waqat hai baqi
Kal hum to hon gai, magar surt-e-halat na ho gi
Jo poochna hai tumko abhi pooch lo warna
Kal shehar mein phir rasm-e-sawalat na ho gi
Din itne huwe taweel hijar logo
Tarpo gai sar-e-sham magar raat na ho gi
Ye soch k abhi dil tarap uthta hai Faraz
Bichrein gai is tarah k kabhi mulaqat na ho gi
