نیلگوں فضاؤں میں
شور ہے بپا دل میں
شدتوں کے موسم کی
چاہتیں سوا دل میں
حبس ہے بھرا دل میں
میں اداس گلیوں کی
اک اداس باسی ہوں
بادلوں کے پردے سے
واہموں کو ڈھکتی ہوں
خوشبوئیں گلابوں کے جسم سے نکلتی ہیں
روشنی کی امیدیں کونپلوں پہ چلتی ہیں
پھر بہار آنے سے پہلے ٹوٹ جاتی ہیں
چوڑیاں بھی ہاتھوں میں ٹوٹ پھوٹ جاتی ہیں
جسم کے شگوفوں میں رنگ چھوڑ جاتی ہیں
بس سنہرے لہجےکی
روشنی ہے لو جیسی
ہونٹ سے پرے دل میں
کام کی دعا ایسی
کس کو یہ خبر لیکن
اِس سنہرے لہجے میں
کھارے کھارے پانی سا
بدگمانیوں سے پُر
