Tum pucho aur mein na btaun, ese to halaat nhen
Ek zara sa dil toota hai, aur to koi baat nhen

Kis ko khabar thi saanwle badal, bin barsay urr jate hain
Sawan aya laiken apni kismet main barsaat nhen

Toot gaya jab dil to phir, saanson ka naghma kya maa’ni
Goonj rahi hai kiu shehnai, jab koi baraat nhen

Mere ghumgeen honay par, ehbaab hain kiu hairaan Qateel
Jese main pathar hun, mere seene main jazbaat nhen
