"Na koi khuwaab na koi saheli thi... is muhabbat mein, mein akeli thi... ishq mein tum khaan ke sache the... jo azziyat thi hum ne jheli thi... yaad ab kuchh nahin raha lekin... aik darya tha ya haweli thi... jis ne uljha ke rakh diya dil ko... woh muhabbat thi ya paheli thi... mein zara si bhi kam wafa kerti... tum ne to meri jaan leli thi... waqt ke saanp kha gaye us ko... mere aangan mein aik chanbeli thi... is shab-e-gham mein kis ko batlaoon... kitni roshan meri hatheli thi...
