Matar pulao. Ingredients: 1 medium onion, sliced. 1 tsp cumin whole (zeera) 1 tsp black pepper corns (kali mirch) 8 green cardamom 1-2 black cardamom 2 inch cinnamon (split in 2) 2 cloves 2 star anise 1 OR 1.5 cups Frozen peas (wash in warm water and drain in sieve) 4 green chilies, split in half 3 cups rice (soaked for 30 mins) 2 cloves garlic diced Salt to taste (it should taste as soup) Method: 1: Fry the onions in some oil, take out the fried onions and put in a bowl. 2: Now in the same oil, put the whole spices, all of it and let them splutter, now add the garlic fry for few seconds. 3: Add the peas, green chilies, salt and fry fry, now add the soaked rice and let it fry for a few seconds, just swirl it, don't move it around with the spoon or the Rice will break, then add the water in which you want the rice to cook completely,1.5 - twice the amount of rice. Put on a medium heat, close the lid tightly and let it get done. 4: When almost done, put on the slowest heat for dum, serve hot with friend onions sprinkle on top. ![]()
