Shab ka ehsaas kabhi din nahi honay dayta
Mujh ko zaahir mera baatin nahi honay dayta

Main k thak haar k kuch waqt ki mohlat chaahoon
Wo k ik pall ko bhi saakin nahi honay dayta

Ye bhi us ki hi inaayat hai k khud apnay siwaa
Wo kisi ko mera mohsin nahi honay dayta

Tu nahi ho to teray saath guzaara hua din
Main koi shaam teray bin nahi honay dayta

Ye to ik uzer hua apni tahi-dasti ka
Ghair-mumkin ko wo mumkin nahi honay dayta.
