میری حسرت کے جنازے کو اٹھانے والے
کتنے بہ درد ہین یہ لوگ زمانے والے

کوُّی اپنا نہیں مطلب کی ہے دنیا ساری
اب کہاں ملتے ہیں وہ دوست پرانے والے

میں دعاگو ہوں سدا نیندیں ہو مبارک تجھ کو
ہجر کا درد مجھے دے کہ جگانے والے

سب یہی سوچ کہ ہر بار مناتا ہوں اسے
لوٹ کہ آتے نہیں روٹھ کہ جانے والے

ہمارے سینوں میں کبھی جھانک کہ دیکھو تو سہی
کتنے افسردہ ہیں اوروں کو ہنسانے والے
