Ankhon ko intizar ka de ker hunar chala gaya
chaha tha aik shaks ko jane kidher chala gaya

din ki wo mehflain gaye raaton ke rat-jage gaye
koi samait kar mere shaam-o-sahar chala gaya

jhonka hai ik bahar ka rang-e-khayal-e-yaar bhi
her-soo bikher bikher gaye khushbo jidher chala gaya

is ke he dum se dil main aaj dhoop bhi chandni bhi hai
de ke wo apni yaad ke shams-o-qamar chala gaya
