Sang jab aaeinaa dikhata hai
Tesha kya kya nazar churata hai

Sil'sila pyaas ka batata hai
Pyaas daryaa kahaan bujhata hai

Raig'zaron ma jaise tapati dhoop
Yoon bhi us ka Khayaal aata hai

Sun raha hoon Khiraam-e-umr ki chaap
Aks aawaz banta jaata hai

Wo bhi kya shakhs hai ke paas aa kar
Faasle door tak bichhata hai

Ghar to aisa kahan tha laikin
Dar'badar hain to yaad aata hai
