Apne gham ka sabab kaise bataye koi
kyun kisi aurke dard ko badhaye koi

tanhai se batein karke dil behlata hai
bas sirf isi umeed pe ke aajaye koi

dilase or tasalliyan khoob marham hain
par gehre daaghon ko kaise mitaye koi

thes jigar pe lagi to tukde-tukde hone de
kaanch ke tukdon pa kaise chala aaye koi

panchi hun to hawa ka rukh janta hun
par toofan se kaise khudko bachaye koi

raat ka suraj to abhi nikla nahi lekin
din ke chand ko raushni dikhlaye koi

dhundon se milte nahi aajkal dost bhi
par kyun kisi ghair ko apna banaye koi

sargoshi ka gungunana teergi ka itrana
is mausam mein aye dil kaise muskuraye koi
