Aati hai teri yaad bhi hum ko kabhie kabhie
Hoti hai khwabon mein bhi mulaqat kabhie kabhie
Kuch apna hosh rehta hai na dunia ka humain
Jab hoti hai ankhon se barsat kabhie kabhie
Hota tou hoga tujhe humari chahat ka ahsas
Hoti tou hogi tu bhi betab kabhie kabhie
Yeh alag baat hai mujhe adat hai muskranay ki
Guzar jati magar ansoon mein raat kabhie kabhie
Kis kambakht ko zarorat hai teri tasweer ki
Ansoon se ban jati teri tasweer kabhie kabhie
Dunia kahne lage gi kafir humain bhi
Tere takhaul ko kia hai sajda kabhie kabhie
Na pa saka woh sakoon-e-dil tere sath bhi
Jo mil jata hai tere baad kabhie kabhie
Likh tou leta hon mein hal-e-dil magar phir bhi
Hoti hai lafzoon ki kami mehsoos kabhie kabhie
