Na gila kya na khafa huey
yunhi raste main juda huey,
na wo bewafa tha na main bewafa,
jo guzar gya so guzar gya,
wo ghazal ki aik kitab tha,
wo gulon main aik gulab tha,
zara dair ka koi khwab tha,
jo guzar gya so guzar gya,
wo udas dhop samait kar kahin wadion main uter gya
usey ab na de maire dil sada,
jo guzar gya so guzar gya
ye safer bhi kitna taveel hy
yahan waqt kitna qaleel hy
kahan laut kar koi aaye ga,
jo guzar gya so guzar gya
