hamaare shauq kii ye intehaa thii
qadam rakhaa ke manzil raastaa thii

bichaR ke Daar se ban-ban phiraa vo
hiran ko apnii kastuurii sazaa thii

kabhii jo Khvaab thaa vo paa liyaa hai
magar jo kho gayii vo chiiz kyaa thii

maiN bachpan meN khilaune toRtaa thaa
mere anjaam kii vo ibtidaa thii

muhabbat mar gayii mujhko bhii Gham hai
mere acche dinoN kii aashnaa thii

jise maiN chhuu luuN vo ho jaaye sonaa
tujhe dekhaa to jaanaa bad-du?aa thii

mariiz-e-Khvaab ko to ab shafaa hai
magar duniyaa baRii kaRvii davaa thii
