ستمبر کی یاد میں
اور تو کچھ یاد نہیں بس اتنا یاد ہے
اس سال بہار ستمبر کے مہینے تک آ گئی تھی
اُس نے پوچھا
”افتخار! یہ تم نظمیں ادھوری کیوں چھوڑ دیتے ہو”
اب اُسے کون بتاتا کہ ادھوری نظمیں اور ادھوری کہانیاں
اور ادھورے خواب
یہی تو شاعر کا سرمایہ ہوتے ہیں
پورے ہو جائیں تو دل اندر سے خالی ہو جاتا ہے
پھر دھوپ ہی دھوپ میں اتنی برف پڑی کہ بہت اونچا
اُڑنے والے پرندے کے پِر اس کا تابوت بن گئے
اور تو کچھ یاد نہیں بس اتنا یاد ہے
اس سال بہار ستمبر کے مہینے تک آ گئی تھی
