دن جو گزرا تو کسی ياد کی رو ميں گزرا
شام آئي تو کوئي خواب دکھاتے گزری

اچھے وقتوں کی تمنا ميں رہی عمرِرواں
وقت ايسا تھا کہ بس ناز اٹھاتے گزری

زندگی جس کے مقدر ميں ہوں خوشياں تيری
انُ کو آتا ہے نبھانا سو نبھاتے گزری

زندگی نام اُدھر ہے کسی سرشاری کا
اور اِدھر دور سے ايک آس لگاتےگزری

رات کيا آيئ کہ تنہائي کی سرگوشی ميں
ہو کا عالم تھا مگر سنتے سناتے گزری

بارہا چونک سی جاتی ہيں دھڑکن دل کی
کس کی آواز تھی يہ کس کو بلاتے گزری
