Saagher-o-meena se ab koi kaam nahii he
Ay Dost mujhe fursat-e-ayyaam nahii he

be kaar maiN phirta houN tere shehr ki galiyouN maiN
meri qismet ki lakeerouN maiN tu tera naam nahi he

letaa houN maiN sham-o-sahar naam muhabbat kaa
Mujh se zyaadah ab koiii dushnaam nahii he

Kuch nahii hijr-o-wisaal ke siwaa zamane maiN
siwa iss ke koii subah nahii shaam nahi he

Na muhabbat ki na bewafaai ki ham ne waheed
sad shukar ke ye naam ber-ser-e-ilzaam nahi he
