chalne ka hausla nahi rukna mahal kar dia
ishq k iss safar ne to mujhko nidhal kar dia

miltey huwe dilo'n k beech aur tha faisla koi
usney magar bacharte waqt aur sawal kar diya

ai meri gul zamee'n tujhey chahye thi ik kitab
ahl e kitab ne magar kia tera haal kar dia

mumkina faislo'n mai ik hijr ka faisla bhi tha
ham ne to aik baat ki usney kamal kar dia

merey labo'n pe mohr thi, par merey shisha roo ne to
shehr k shehr ko mera waqif e haal kar dia

chehra o naam aik sath aaj na yaad aa sakey
waqt ne kiss shabih ko khwab o khayal kar dia

muddato'n baad usney aaj mujhsey koi gila kia
mansab e dilbari pe kya mujhko bahal kar dia
