Harare: Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 221 runs on the fifth day of the first Test at Harare Sports Club on Saturday.
Zimbabwe, set an unlikely 329 to win, were bowled out for 120 in the last innings showing inexperience and crumbled under pressure to surrender to the Pakistan spinners.
Earlier in the day Junaid Khan bowled with hostility causing damage in his first spell in which he picked up 2 wickets.
From that point the spinning duo of Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman took control of the situation and took wickets at regular intervals.
Saeed Ajmal finished with 4-23 in the second innings taking his match haul to 11-118.
Abdur Rehman bowled well with him to finnish with 4-36.
Younis Khan was later declared player of the match for his superb unbeaten double hundred.
Both the teams meet again for the second Test starting from September 10 at the same venue.
Pakistan lead the 2 match series 1-0.
