kabhi aah lab per machal gai
kabhi ashk aankh se dhal gae

woh tumhare gham k chiragh the
kabhi bujh gae kabhi jal gae

mai khuab o khayal ki mehfilen
na kabhi souq se saja saka

teri aik nazar k sath hi
mere sab irade badal gae

jo fanaa hue gham e ishq
unhe zindagi ka na gham hua

jo na apni aag mai jal sake
woh parai aag mai jal gae

tha unhe bhi meri tarah junoon
to un mai mujh mai farq kiya

mai girft e gham se na bach saka
woh hudood e gham se nikal gae...
