ajeeb lo`g haiN kyaa khuub munsifii kee hai
hamaare qatl ko kehte haiN khud-kushii kee hai

ye baaNkpan thaa hamaaraa ke zulm per hamne
bajaaye naalaa-o-faryaad shaaiirii kee hai

zaraa se paaNv bhigoye thay jaa ke daryaa meN
Guroor ye hai ke hamne shanaawarii kee hai

isii lahuu meN tumhaara safeenaa Duubegaa
ye qatl-e-aam nahiiN, tumne khud-kushii kee hai

hamaari qadr karo chauNdaviiN ke chaaNd haiN ham
Khud apne DaaG dikhaane ko raushnii kee hai

udaasiyoN ko Hafeez aap apne ghar rakhkheN
ke anjuman ko zaruurat shaguftagii kee hai

Tere Dil Main Meri Sanso Ko Panah Mil Jaey
Tere Ishq Main Meri Jaan Fana Ho Jaey
