'Dum Maro Dum' may be screened in court before release ![]() On Wednesday, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice S.C. Dharmadhikari viewed the promos of the Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu starrer and have now fixed the next hearing for April 18. The promos were viewed by the judges on a laptop. In New Delhi, producer Ramesh Sippy said: The matter is still in court and we are not authorised to say anything about it until any decision is made. When the time is right we will definitely speak about it. But we are optimistic that the decision will be in our favour.' 'I'll say it without a doubt, that for all of us, Goa is our favourite place. We have enjoyed the hospitality of Goa for the fullest,' he told reporters in Delhi. Ramesh was present at the Taj Mansingh Hotel in New Delhi along with the starcast of the film and director-son Rohan Sippy to promote the film. 'Keeping in mind the sentiments, we have changed the dialogue in the film. There were no intentions of hurting anyone's sentiments,' he added. details: http://in.movies.yahoo.com/news/dum-...25836-218.html ================================================== ==== TNN | Apr 13, 2011, 01.20am ISTDum Maro Dum: Objectionable dialogue deleted from trailer PANAJI: Bowing to increasing pressure, the producers of the film Dum Maro Dum have said that they have deleted an objectionable dialogue against Goan women from the movie trailers. An official statement from the movie producers states, "The film has officially been certified by the censor board with a certificate A rating. We were made aware in the past few days that there were some women's organizations that had complained about one dialogue in our trailers which they found offensive. As responsible filmmakers we have changed the same to address their concerns." It may be recalled that TOI in its April 5 edition first reported that the movie's trailor contained a dialogue, where actress Bipasha Basu says "Over here (in Goa), liquor is cheap, and the women are cheaper." This was followed by a public outcry, which saw journalist Savio Rodrigues file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a ban or restraint on the release and exhibition of the controversial film. The respondents in the petition are the Union of India, the government of Goa, Ramesh Sippy Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. On April 8, the Goa State Women's Commission (GSWC) lodged a police complaint against the defamation of Goan women by the movie. details: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/c...ow/7967308.cms ![]()
