مجھے یاد ھے ابھی تک
جب برستی ٹپ ٹپ کرتی رم جھم میں
ھاں دسمبر کی اس ٹھٹھرتی
سرد رات کی پہلی بارش میں
اس نے مجھ سے کہا تھا
"مجھے بارشیں سرد موسم کی بہت پسند ہیں"

سرد موسم کی بارشوں سے انسیت رکھنے والا
میرے لہجے میں سرد پن اتار گیا ھے
مری ذات میں عجب طرز کی
اک ٹھنڈک اتار گیا ھے
میں جس کو چھو لوں
وہ برف کا محبوس ھو جاتا ھے
مجھے اب اندازہ ھوتا ھے
اسے سرد موسم کی بارش سے کیا نسبت تھی
اسے سرد موسموں کی بارش سے کیا قربت تھی
