Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem is the third holiest place in Islam

Narration attributed to Abu Huraira reports:

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported it directly from Allahs Apostle (may peace be upon him) that he said: Do not undertake journey but to three masjid: this masjid of mine (Medina), the Masjid of al-Haram (Makkah) and the Masjid of Aqsa (Bait al-Maqdis).
