sham ko subah-e-chaman yad ai
kis ki Khushbu-e-badan yad ai

jab Khayalon main koi mor aya
tere gesu ki shikan yad ai

yad aye tere paikar ke Khutut
apani kotahi-e-fan yad ai

chand jab dur ufaq par duba
tere lahje ki thakan yad ai

din shuaon se ulajhte guzara
rat ai to kiran yad ai

Kabhi zindagi me kisik liay mut rona**
q k vo''tumhare ansoun k kabil nahi ho ga''
or ''vo'' jo is ''kabil'' ho ga vo tumhe ''rone'' nahi de ga''*****
