ajab makan hai kay jis men makeen nahi ata
hudud e shahar men kia dil kahin nahi ata

men jis kay shoq men ghar baar chor bethi thi
yahi wo shaks hai mujh ko yaqeen nahi ata

mazah hi shair sunane ka koch nahi jab tak
qaseeda goyon men wo nukta cheen nahi ata

fashaar jan kay bohut hen agar nazar aaeyn
har aek zalzala zer e zameen nahi ata

bharam hai mahr o mah o najum ka bhi bus jab tak
maqabil in kay wo roshan jabeen nahi ata
