Masoom Mohabbat ka bas itna fasaana hai
Kaghaz ki haveli hai, baarish ka zamaana hai

Kia rasm-e-mohabbat hai kia shart-e-zamaana hai
Awaz bhi zakhmi hai, or geet bhi gana hai

Toota hua dil apna yoon un ko dikhaana hai
Bheegi hui aankhon se aik sher sunnana hai

Us paar utarney ki ummeed naheen rakhnaa
Kishti bhi purani hai Toofaan bhi aana hai

Naddani merey dil ki phir ishq ki zad par hai
Phir aag ka darya hai, phir doob hi jaana hai

Yeh ishq naheen aasaan, bas itna samajh lijiye
Ik aag ka dariya hai, aur doob ke jaanaa hai
