meiN khizaaN ki dhoop ka aa’ina k meiN eik ho k hazar hoon
kahiN ansuoN ka ho qaafila kahiN jugnuoN ki qitaar hoon

koi tara toot kar gir geya koi chaand chhatt say utar geyaa
kisi asmaaN ki chaal say jo bikhar geya wuhi haar hoon

wuhi sookhay sookhay say pairr heiN wuhi ujri ujri tehniyaaN
koi phool jis pe hila nahiN ghumoN ki aesii bahaar hooN

mujhay kyuN bulaatey heiN pyar sey ye chehaktey punchi mundeir sey
maiN khamoshi ka dard hooN meiN udaas Chaand ka pyaar hooN

maiN wuh sheir hooN jisey aaj tak na paRha geya na suna geyaa
jisay ungliyoN ne chhuwaa nahiN wuhi bad-naseeb sitaar hooN
