Yunhi uthati hai Seene mein jalan musal-sal

Har kwahish ki kabra per ek diya jala ho jaise

Dhundlaa sa dikhta hai ab har manzar mujhko,
Aankhon me koi adhuraa sa khwaab palta ho jaise.

Kate nahi kat ti ye umr furkat mein,
Waqt ka pahiya ruk ruk ke chalta ho jaise.

Utha hoon har baar thokaren behisaab khaa kar,
Pathreele raston par musaafir gir gir ke sambhalta ho jaise.

Sochte hain ki raat ko khwaab me hi sahi shayad tum miloge,
Shab ke hi intezaar mein poora din dhalta ho jaise.
