Aaj ashqoon ka taar toot gaya,
Rishta_e_intzaar toot gaya,

Yuun wo thukra ke chal diye goya,
Ikk khilona thaa pyaar toot gaya,

Roye reh reh kar hichkiyaan lekar,
Saaz_e_gam baar baar toot gaya,

Aap ki berukhi ka shikwa kya,
Dil thaa na_paidaar toot gaya,

Dekh li dil ne besabati-e-gul,
Phir tilism-e-bahar toot gaya,

Kya chaar din ki ranjish se,
Itni muddat ka payar toot gaya,
