agarcha dekhi hen men ne ab tak

bohut si jheelen

jo apne daman men paniyon kay bare zakheere liey hoey thin

bohut se darya

aur un kay pehlu men paniyon kay azeem rele

kai samandar

kay jin kay dono taraf kinare bhi paniyon kay bane hoey the

aur un k maben neele pani ki aek chadar

jahan talak aankh dekh paey

kuch is tarah se bichi hoi thi

kay jese neele gagan ko orhe ho paniyon ki haseen devi

men paniyon kay tilsim se aaj tak meri jan bacha hoa tha

magar tumhari udas palkon se girne wala yeh aek ansu

jo apne kuf men kai samandar liey hoey hai

yeh aek qatrah

zamane bhar kay tamam paniyon pe bhari yeh aek qatrah

jo tere rukhsar se dhalak kar

zameen ka rizq bun gaya hai

yeh meri hasti dubo gaya hai
