Mausam-e-gul mein agar shaakh se toote hote
Kuch shagoofe bhi iss shaakh se phoote hote

Dil bara sakht tha, har sang-e-bala jhel gaya
Warna hum shiddat-e-ehsaas se toote hote

Hont chup-chaap sahi, aankh hi kuch keh jaati
Rootne waale saleeqe se tho roote hote

Humne hans hans ke bharam ehl-e-wafaa ka rakha
Hum bhi ro dete agar ishq mein jhoote hote
