Making good soft Chappathi is an art. Here are a few tips for the same :

* Use only Wheat flour and try to add milk instead of water while preparing the dough.
* You can also add a spoon of curd and keep it in the fridge for 2 hours before preparing chappathi
* The flame may be kept at medium while cooking the chapathis
* You can also add a teaspoon of oil while preparing the dough so that they don't stick to our hands and the chappathi will also come out soft.
* But Incase the chappathi comes out very hard you can then use less oil next time. It actually differs all the time.
* Heat the tava (griddle) over medium heat. Griddle should not be too hot or cold. To test the temperature, sprinkle a little dry flour over the surface of the griddle. It should burn at once or sprinkle little water- it should be bubble and get dried immediately.
* Cook Chappathi in medium heat always and also ensure that the thick corners are well cooked and are soft
* You can use a non stick or a iron ta
