Chicken Do Pyaza
Ingredients: Chicken - 8 Big pieces


Oil - 2 ½ tbsp

Onions - 6 Big

BayLeaf (Tejpatte) - 2


Cardamom - 8 small


Cloves - 2


Dry Red Chilies - 3

Black pepper seeds - 6

Garlic Cloves - 6

Ginger - 3”

Coriander Powder(Dhaniya powder) - 1 tsp


Roasted Cumin Seed Powder - 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder (Haldi) - ½ tsp

Red Chili powder - 1 tsp

Salt - To taste

Tomatoes - 5 Big

Water - 1 ½ Cup

Directions...
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Now fry 6 onions (Cut them in 4 or 6 big pieces only), till they become light brown in color. Keep them aside for later use.
  2. Make paste of ginger and garlic in a mixer.
  3. Fry chicken pieces in oil for about 2min and stir constantly.
  4. Now in other pan put 1 tbsp of oil. Add tejpatte, cardamom, clove, dry red chilies and black pepper seeds. Fry them for about one minute.
  5. Add garlic & Ginger paste (prepared in step 2). Cook for about 2mintues or till they become golden in color.
  6. Mix Coriander powder, Cumin powder, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  7. Add chopped tomatoes and fry them till mixture separates from oil.
  8. Now add fried onions (from step 1), fried chicken pieces (from step 3). Mix well.
  9. Add water and cook till the chicken gets soft.
  10. Serve hot with rice.
