Surah 41 FUSSILAT- The clear distinction between two ways of life

This surah is names FUSSILAT from root FAA, SWAD and LAAM. Concrete meaning of this root is distance or difference between things. Also barrier, separation, distinction, gulf, disconnection, lack of contact, discrimination, facilitate, detail, expand, room, space etc etc.

This surah is named FUSSILAT because the Quran makes clear distinction between two ways of living for mankind. One way of life is supposed to be based upon this divine guidance that wants to bring people together as a proper human community whereby people live for each other to make their world a blissful place to live-in in a dignified way as a brotherhood of humanity and the other is a way of life people adopt for themselves the best they think, which is based upon the idea of personal gains at the expense of human community spirit. This way of living has proven very harmful and destructive for humanity according to human history but people have been turning to this idea again and again which has brought humanity to where it is today. Could people have been better off living the way Allah had advised them or have they had a better life the way they decided to live themselves? This question needs to be asked and answered by each and every person in order to realise why the Quran makes distinction between two world views. Both have been tried and tested as human history bears witness to all this. One has been very beneficial for mankind but it was very demanding and the other has been very bad for mankind but also very demanding. So there is no such thing as free lunch either way. If you live on basis of divine guidance then you need to work very, very hard to make ends meets or things will not work out and fall apart.

This is why each time a divine kingdom was set up it was brought down by people who did not want to work that hard to keep things going so divine kingdoms that were brought about by divine messengers all ended up destroyed including the kingdom that was set-up by the final messenger. However, the kingdoms that were brought about by people after them proved very harmful and destructive for humanity and they still do and people have not yet realised what do they really want because they have not bothered to find out for themselves. So a state of chaos and confusion continues for humanity and it will continue till people educate themselves and ask questions as to where they are going and if they are heading in the right direction. Usually very crazy things need to happen to mankind before they come to their senses. It is just like individuals that so long as things go their way they keep going and never look back but when things suddenly come to a halt and they cannot continue that they look for some way to somewhere. So the message of the Quran is falling on deaf ears just now if you like till people come across such a situation or set of circumstances which stop them from going there altogether. Only then humanity will turn to Quran for guidance unless educated and thinking people get through to them before that time and get them on the proper as explained in the Quran. The last minute struggle has greater chance of failure and many nations therefore ended up destroying themselves because when they realised the errors of their ways it was already too late to turn things round.

Proclaim! In the name of Allah, the provider of psychological, sociological and biological needs of mankind,

This verse explains what Islam is all about ie it is a way of life for living in this world that secures humanity psychologically, biologically and sociologically. It provides food for mind and body of people to ensure their proper nurture or growth and development. So people who think Islam is just another religion not a social system should pay attention. The Quran repeatedly tells mankind it is all about a proper human society in this world. This is why it is all about politics and economics because without proper management of human population and resources none can get humanity out of all the troubles it is facing. The Quranic reminders of human history serves the purpose of lessons because most people in the past did not think that divine guidance can deliver them the goods and ended up destroying themselves. On the contrary those who accepted divine way of life to live by survived in a blissful and dignified way till they too fell apart due to not keeping up with requirements of heavenly kingdom. Not only that but once divine kingdoms ended it was never possible for nations to bring them back without fulfilling the requirements for re-establishment of divine kingdom. This is why at whatever stage people think they are they must fulfil the requirements to move on to next stage in regard to establishment of kingdom on basis of guidance of Allah. No matter whatever else people do it will never deliver them the blissful kingdom nor help its continuation.

3] a book goals and guidelines of which are readily distinguishable from all others that people follow, a reading in a distinct language for people to learn and understand

Here mankind are told that way of life advised by Allah is very different and distinct from all the ways of life which people adopt for themselves but the question is what is the difference? It is based upon community spirit ie living for each other not against each other for personal gains. This is why when people live to help and support each other there comes about a brotherhood and a human society that is very good for human growth and development. It brings people reasons to live for instead of people looking forward to committing suicides because their life becomes a misery and a burden. One has to think how good one’s life becomes when in a family the people involved live for each other and how miserable life becomes when people in a family live to tear each other apart. If in a society a family can tear each other apart then people should become alarmed what kind of society are we creating and living in? What kind of world are we handing over to our future generations? In religion based societies people are stuck in rut because they do not want to have anything to do with material world because it is said to be evil. Then we see every day in the news what holy men of religions get up to for material gains. All because religious beliefs which are actually make beliefs and rituals do not deliver what holy men promise in the names of their Gods. This world is all made of matter which is frozen form of energy. All living things are made of matter and have needs and wants and their needs cannot be fulfilled without material things so to avoid material world is avoiding life itself.

Therefore religion based ways of life are clearly falsehood created by stupid people to make fool of other ignorant people. So one has to ask these people who cannot benefit themselves and each other what purpose does life have for them? These people have invented terms for religious purpose and public at large must try and ask them questions about them as to what are they really trying to explain or accomplish through them? Have they been successful in what they were trying to achieve or have they failed themselves? Religions and sects are failures because they have divided mankind and set them up against each other in the name of false gods. Their gods are false because they are their self created gods that are not based on proper interpretations of their scriptures. True God can only be the one who has sent information for mankind that explains for them things in a way that makes sense to them in light of their own self awareness and in light of their awareness about realities of real world with which they interact. Anything that contradicts their life experience is only and only a make belief or falsehood. This is what the Quran is explaining in its verses and surahs. The Quran keeps bringing up the idea that the world and mankind have been created for a set purpose. Having that purpose in front of our minds if we look at rest of things that go with it according to the Quran they make perfect sense because they fit with each other like pieces of same jigsaw puzzle. The ultimate goal is human awareness of their creator through expressing their own creativity. It is because God expressed his creativity in form of this universe and his revelation which is today with us in form of the Quran. What could be bigger expression of creativity of humanity than understanding divine creation and revelation and seeing the actual relationship between the two?

Study of creation helps understand revelation and study of revelation helps mankind understand things about creation. It is like looking at two complementary things side by side in order to figure out how they work together as a complete unit. Can humanity really explore universe or understand revelation as individuals independent of each other? The answer is they cannot even exist without help of each other never mind doing other things without each other. So unity is what helps mankind move forward in knowledge and practice. This is why people must come together and work together to accomplish bigger things like exploring universe to see what it is all about. The Quran therefore gives humanity basis for unity ie it sets for it as a goal peace, progress and prosperity of mankind. It then sets out terms and conditions or guidelines that humanity must follow in order to get to that goal. So one can see how each thing the Quran talks about fits together nicely without any conflict between them. A clear proof that the Quran is no ordinary book. This is why people must follow the Quran and not mullahs because the Quran does not approve personality cults instead it condemns mullahs and their supporters because they lead masses away from the actual message of Allah into nonsense make beliefs and useless ritualism. So long as people do not make each other realise this people will keep on falling victims to mullahs, rulers and money lenders and therefore victims to social, political, economic and religious divisions, hatred and wars.

4] that gives good news to those who look forward to a blissful and dignified life based on its guidance and delivers warning to those who refuse to live by it yet most of the people follow it not.

The Quran repeatedly tells mankind to follow advice of Allah but people instead follow their mullahs blindly. Knowing well that what mullahs tell them makes no sense because it contradicts everything they have learned throughout their life experiences. All this because they are being lazy not bothered with making efforts to learn the Quranic message for themselves. This unity of lazy and crazy mindsets, attitudes and behaviours of people is keeping the world from moving full speed ahead. People are hardly willing to get up and do things unless they are forced out of their comfort zones by their situations and circumstances. Yet same people expect the world to become a blissful place as if such things are going to happen all by themselves without anyone doing them. When most of the world is lacking inspiration and is so motiveless then one has to ask oneself why should anyone else get up and do anything for such lazy people? Does this not give a good excuse to those who use and abuse such people? This is why capitalism is such a powerful idea because it gives such people incentive to get what they want out of their lives. By the time these lazy people realise it is too late already for them. One has to ask oneself, how many people really make effort to get education for themselves?

This is why masses remain ignorant and because they remain ignorant they fail themselves when it comes to competing for jobs? So one can see that there are very serious problems with humanity that most people are lazy and motiveless and some are crazy who love using and abusing others so these complementary mindsets, attitudes and behaviours are resulting in a world order that we have throughout the world. The rich are filthy rich and poor are right down in gutter. Among these mad people there are some sane people as well who tell everyone that these ways to live are not good instead live the way you have been told by your creator and sustainer because you have been created for a set purpose. A purpose that cannot be served by people who lack inspiration or a people who are only motivated by sense of personal gains regardless what seriously damaging affects it has on the rest of the human population. This is why people need a proper but a clear message and that cannot come from lazy and crazy mullahs or rulers or money lenders or those who suck up to them. Only God could inspire people through his words of wisdom but that needs wise people to explain divine message to masses properly and people then need to verify what they are told for themselves in order to ensure they have not been had. Allah therefore condemns blind faith the mullahs promote in order to become important in eyes of masses so that then they could exploit humanity for their own ends.

5] Instead they say, our mindsets, attitudes and behaviours are averse to what you are calling us to so there is no chance that we will ever adhere to what you say because there is an opposition between your way of looking at life and our way of looking at life, you are just as human as we are so what you says is nothing better than what we know ourselves, so you carry on working your way and we will keep on working our way.

6] Say O messenger, it is true that I am as human as you are but there has come to me the message that your Creator and Sustainer is the only ruler for you, therefore stand upon His advised foundation in order to work for your blissful and dignified existence because there in is bad news for future of those who take rulers other than Him

These like verses condemn the concept of separation between affairs related to God and people and affairs related to state and people. Or one can see condemnation of people who separate kingdom of God from kingdom of humanity. Separation between state and God is a conspiracy against divine guidance by those who are happy to use and abuse others for their personal gains. This is why these people spread false propaganda against the Quran by funding mullahs who then show masses Islam is a religion just like any other religion. The truth is religion is a false concept or a misnomer in light of all holy books. This concept was brought in to justify rule by people instead of God and the rule by people ever since it came about always used and abused humanity at large.

7] such as contribute nothing towards establishing an economic system that ensures growth and development of humanity and all because they refuse to work for the better future of humanity as a whole.

This verse tells mankind again why such people are a problem who do not work for better future of humanity. On one hand they are held back by mullahs’ teachings who tell them materialism is something bad to work for and trap them in false concept of destiny that they will get what God has already decided for them so it matters not they work for it or not, and on the other they are used and abused by rulers for their personal gains. In this case mullahs again tell them it is will of God about them so they should accept it and be patient till next life when Allah will reward them and punish their users and abusers. So one can see what part mullahs have been playing in getting humanity in frame of mind that is harmful and destructive for it. It shows mullahs have been at the forefront of misleading humanity from the actual message of God on behalf of their masters.

8] As for those who commit to working for peace, progress and prosperity of humanity and work hard for growth and development of humanity there is an unending outcome for their unending actions for their better future.

Words GHAIRU MUMNOON mean something which is not a free gift but is results of an effort or effect of a cause or consequence of an action etc. GHAIR is from root GHAIN,YAA and RAA and MUMNOON is from root MEEM, NOON and NOON. Both roots have many other meanings as well.

This verse leaves one in no doubt that future of mankind depends upon themselves as to which way they choose to live how they negotiate their journey of life along that path. Outcome is good if path is proper for living a life and it is negotiated properly otherwise it is all sighs and cries. The Quran negates the concept of predestination by God because it tells mankind you have been given ability to choose and given the guidance to help you make the proper choice but you are free to do as you like and the systems and laws are put place to ensure proper outcome of your beliefs and actions as per your own choices.

9] Say, by accepting the concepts and the way you are accepting them and by doing things the way you are doing them are you not denying the existence and sovereignty of the One Who brought about the earth in two stages and are you not denying His existence and sovereignty by taking on other rulers in His place while according to Him He is the sole Creator and Sustainer therefore sole ruler for all the nations in the world?

Attention needs to be paid to the phrase KHALAQAL ARDA FEE YAWMAINI. As explained already root of word khalaqa has various meanings eg creation, evolution, bring about, character, manner or conduct etc etc. Likewise root of word ARD has various meanings eg world, the earth, this solar system, this galaxy, down trodden people, starting point, foundation, base or beginning or nearest reference point as opposed to far end reference point etc etc. Word YAWM root also has various meanings eg day, period, era, stage, event, time, history, reference point, world etc etc. This phrase could be telling us God created this earth or this world in two days of a particular duration or in two stages or as two different events eg first came about universe and then due to supernova secondary explosion of a star in this galaxy there came about this solar system ie the sun and its planets? The universe is 13 billion plus years old but the solar system is 4 billion plus years old. Elsewhere the Quran tells us Allah created the universe in SITTATI AYYAAM ie periods or events or stages. Here root of word SITTA not only means number six but also extension or expansion of same process in stages one after the other.

These verses are challenging human ignorance by Allah separating his own actions from actions of people. He accepts that people do things and that he rewards them with outcomes of their actions fully but people ignore the part Allah plays in this universe including daily life of people here on this very earth. Since this surah is talking about two very different ways of life, one leading to blissful life and other to miserable life, Allah wants to drive home the point that you the people did not originate this universe and things in it that have been brought about by Allah. All you the mankind ever did is used the provided things to do whatever you did or still do. This is the partnership between Allah and human beings. Yet when it comes to taking over things mankind just grab everything despite the fact that very little belongs to them for which they made their own effort. By not living in this world the way the creator says people breach the contract or covenant with God. This causes all sorts of problems for mankind themselves and then they complain to Allah when he told them right from the start, don’t do things this way. All because human beings claim rights over things they have not been given any rights. To decide who gets what is up to Allah because he created everything and he has given people guidelines regarding rights and responsibilities because he has set people some goals to accomplish. If people are not interested in what Allah has to say then they can do as they like and suffer the consequences. Where is sense in complaining to Allah instead of people putting things right between themselves as taught by Allah? Since Allah has created everything people have no right to act as owners of things other than Allah or even in addition to Allah. If Allah has allowed them use of things to some degree in some ways they should stick to that limit and should not transgress the set limits or consequences are bound to be serious for mankind.

10] Moreover He raised from within the earth the land masses rising high above its surface and He placed therein things of need for things in abundance according to set measures in four stages for sustenance of all things in it that depend upon it for their needs.

Word JAALA is from root JEEM, AIN and LAAM which has various meanings eg consequence, result, outcome, effect, scarab, wage, reward, bribe, payment set aside for a task to be carried out, create, make, to place, to constitute, to put, to bribe, to place, to raise, to bring about etc etc.

Word RAWAASIYAA is from root RAA, SEEN, and WOW. It means mountain standing firm, to come to stand firm, to dock, to hold firmly in place, be or become stable, to be able to serve the purpose, to be in position or state to meet set requirements, to anchor, to sink in something into something eg a peg firmly driven into the ground for tying animals or tents etc, to drive in, to mend, to effect reconciliation, to break into down pour etc etc.

Root of word ARBAATI not only means four or forth or forty etc but also prosperity and growth or a period of time when people are satisfied with their lives or meet their assigned responsibilities etc etc.

A special note about prepositions and conjunctions etc used in the Quran. They are open to wide range of interpretations and can be used in place of each other. It must also be noted that in old interpretations of the Quran, grammar rules were derived through making sense of the Quranic text as it was understood by the interpreters. So if they made any mistakes in understanding a text then their derived rules could also be mistaken. It is because the actual text has priority not the grammar rules because text existed before grammar rules were derived from it or language was spoken before it was written down. So it is understanding of the Quranic text that is important not Arabic grammar unless it fits the text and its context. So text of the Quran must not be bent to fit the grammar but grammar rules must be discarded where they do not fit the Quranic text. This point is of fundamental importance to realise because language was spoken long before people realised it was spoken according to some rules or not. The Quran was revealed long before Arabic grammar rules were derived from the Quranic text. To explain this further let me explain development of language in a baby as he grows. At any stage when a baby speaks, his speech makes perfect sense the way he speaks to his parents. Even when he cries it means something to his parents eg he may be hungry looking for feed. It means even sounds made by a baby could be interpreted perfectly by his parents. So whatever language was spoken by Arabs at the time of revelation of the Quran was perfect the way it was because people who spoke that language understood it between themselves perfectly as to what it meant.

Later people improved upon that language but Quranic text remained in the original language, it was not changed to suit later grammatical changes and rules driven from that language. This is why if anyone will try to understand the Quranic text according to later improvements in the language then one will become stuck because the Quranic text is still in the original form. This is why the Quran cannot be interpreted or translated word for word rather one has to translate concepts instead. This point most translators of the Quran missed and therefore they introduced bracketing to clarify the Quranic text which gives people sense of missing text in the Quran or as if people are correcting mistakes in the Quranic text. This translation practice has done a lot of damage to Quranic reputation because readers of those translations are making the very same mistake as the translators ie they too do not realise that original language of the Quran was understood and written down differently and was perfect as it was because the users of the language used it that way. It is like Morse Code which is understood perfectly by those who use it but not by those who have no idea how it works. It is a language in its own right. This is why those who are not familiar with such important points about the Arabic language of the Quran should not translate the text or they cannot avoid making serious mistakes. It is like asking a person decode Morse Code who has no idea what it is. Arabic words are of secondary importance because the main things are concepts attached to roots of words. This is why it is possible to replace old interpretations with new words because if you have description of something then you can given it new name to suit new situation without changing the original concept or the text. If an object is described as made of camel hair turned into woollen thread then it could be anything eg a blanket, a sweater or a coat etc.

However the problem only occurs when one is talking about a sweater in reality but the other person takes it as a blanket. This is why not just meanings given to the words are important but also which meanings suit the situation and circumstances in reality. This is why the Quranic text cannot be interpreted properly unless people are familiar with concepts attached to roots of its words but are also familiar with actual realities the Quran is talking about. Root of word SAMAA has many meanings but only those should be used that fit in with the context of the Quran in light of realities it is talking about. Any other interpretations are only and only misinterpretations. Pots made of clay are earthenware but if one is talking about a cup in his hand then we cannot say it is cooking pot one is talking about. What happens with concepts over a period of time is that one concepts becomes more used so that becomes normal and others go in the background and after a while people just think that other concepts never existed. This is also why the Quranic text has become more difficult to reinterpret because people have become so used to certain existing concepts that were spread by mullahs to give legitimacy to themselves and their kings and the money lenders that people think that any other interpretation of the Quran in incorrect. Mullahs have been spreading concepts of miracles, make beliefs and ritualism in the name of Islam and so Islam became a religion in eyes of the world instead of deen. This is why when anyone interprets the Quran rationally as book of deen people think the Quran has been misinterpreted. It is because they have become so used to makes beliefs and ritualism they have become frozen in that concept. Only because religious concepts and rituals make no sense that people start rethinking about their beliefs and deeds and turn to concept of deen. However not all people make that much effort to find out things for themselves. This is why we do not see much effort made by many people in trying to reinterpret the Quranic text to get the proper message of the Quran and to spread that concept and that is why ummah is in a terrible state of confusion about Islam as to what it exactly is ie a deen or a mazhab. This work is an attempt to show people that it is possible to understand the Quranic text properly at least to a great degree even if not totally. I am very sure that if people started in this direction they will be able to produce greater works much, much better than this work. However it will take time because ideas expressed in this work are not easy to grasp.

11] However in due course when He decided to turn the planned universe into a reality it was just a cloud of gas but He set-up systems and laws for it and this solar system to come about through forces of attraction and repulsion. They expressed themselves in form of consistency with His program.

Word DUKHAAN is from root DAAL,KHAA and NOON. It means smoke or something like smoke. Cloud of dust, haze, mist, mirage, confusion, fine particles of matter that are scattered in form of a cloud, hot gas or steam etc etc.

12] That is how He turned them into many galaxies and many solar systems in those galaxies in two steps and made every solar system to come to being complete with all its details in due course. That is how He adorned this universe with massive brilliant stars and made it secure against any malfunction. Such are the set-up systems and laws of the mighty ruler of this universe who makes things obvious for mankind to observe and understand.

13] Yet if they turn away from this guidance then say to them, I have delivered to you warning about a mind-blowing revolt, like the upheaval which struck Aad and Thamood.

14] When their messengers came to them from the generations before them and from the generations after them saying to them, take no rulers other than Allah instead of heeding their call they said, if our Creator and Sustainer wanted to send us a message then He should have sent it down through His own officials from the heavens not through any common man like ourselves therefore we oppose the message with which you are sent.

It was better if people heard what was said and not who said it because importance is not of any person but of message as to how good it could be for people for whom it is sent. This is what respect for right and wrong and law and order is all about. If a people have a mindset, attitude and behaviour that does not let other people speak and be heard then such people are nothing more than animals in human forms.

15] As for Aad, they acted to make themselves dominant against each other by undermining each other in the world without having the right to do so and challenged, who is stronger than us in might in the world? They lived by the concept of might is right but could they not realise that Allah Who created them was mightier than them yet he does not use His might to prove himself right, for He uses reason and evidences to prove His point and to make people learn what is right that way? Yet they continued fighting against Our set out goals and guidelines.

16] So over a few days that spelt trouble for them, Our set-up systems and laws let loose upon their ruling elite a furious hurricane of angry people in form of revolt to make them taste a shameful scourge as a result of the way they lived their lives, but more painful suffering was yet to follow them in due course as their way of life worsened their situation. All this because they had nothing to rely upon to help themselves out of this crisis.

If a people turn their backs on divine guidance then moral foundation is gone so people become a crowd of angry people who take their frustration out against each other leading each other straight into life of hell by their own making.

17] As for Thamood, We offered them Our guidance but they preferred remaining blind rather than accepting guidance towards the proper way of life, so the thunderbolt of humiliating scourge in form of revolt and upheaval by their angry victims seized their ruling elite for their misdeeds.

18] However We delivered Our promised secure life for those who committed to working for peace, progress and prosperity of mankind because they became consistent with Our guidance and thereby each other.

The divine promise is very clear to all people that they will end up living either in paradise or in hell as per their own choice of way of living their lives. The life becomes what people make it for themselves or each other. Fighting each other will always end them in life of hell and working together caring and sharing will lead them into life that is worth living.

19] However beware of the time period when opponents of guidance of Allah are brought together by their mindsets, attitudes and behaviours to lead each other into life of hell because they hinder each other from progress and prosperity.

20] In due course when they reach that state of existence, their ears and their eyes and their bodies bear evidence as to what they have been doing to reach this state of existence.

These verses may also be interpreted in sense of institutions for listening and observations and administrative or governing bodies. However when a people are in serious trouble they show signs of that trouble through their appearance as to how they have been battered by that trouble or how that trouble has worn them out. The people who keep fighting with each other end up with lots of scars and wounds which are clearly visible on them for all to see. Likewise societies that live their lives in a certain way show signs of that way of life. People get involved in doing things knowing what is going to happen to them but still they go ahead and do what they think they need to do for their own satisfaction. The realisation whether what they did was good or bad for them only comes after the results of those actions confront them.

21] So they say to their administrative bodies, what was the point in you bearing witness to our deeds? They reply, Allah Who gives ability for expressing themselves to everything has also given us the human beings the voice to express ourselves. He is the One Who evolved you the mankind as the ultimate creation so that you refer to His guidance to fulfil His set purpose.

22] Yet you did not take cover against those who witnessed your mindset, attitude and behaviour lest they watched you, not against your listeners nor against your observers or against your administrative institutions while committing crimes because you thought that Allah will not make evident the results of most of what you do against each other.

23] This thought of yours which you entertained concerning your Creator and Sustainer has brought you to harm and destruction and now you have become of those who are utterly in loss.

24] So now they show patience or not the fire of hatred they ignited themselves remains their home and even if they try to be consistent with Our guidance from now on they have not given themselves enough time to turn things round.

The Quran clearly states that any people who have gone beyond stage of recovery cannot make a comeback. So it is very important that people never let themselves down so badly that they end up utterly destroying themselves.

25] We let people have like minded intimate friends they choose for themselves but for those who ended up choosing such friends as made their past and future harmful and destructive actions against each other look good to them Our forewarnings became real in the past both for generations of the ruling elites and the masses that supported them that they will surely end up destroyed if they followed not Our guidance.

26] These chiefs of opponents of Our guidance say to their supporters, do not let this Quran reach the masses whenever it is proclaimed by organising campaign against it so that you could drown its message and people who proclaim it.

27] We will certainly let these opponents of Our guidance face consequences of their own actions and reward them with outcome for the worst of their misdeeds.

28] Such terrible agony is the outcome for such actions of such opponents of guidance of Allah, in which they remain for as long as they live, a fitting outcome for their fighting against Our goals and guidelines.

29] In that state of existence some of these opponents of Our guidance will say, our Creator and Sustainer, avail us the opportunity to confront those from among our ruling elite and their supporters who misled us so that we trample them under our feet so that they are utterly humiliated by us.

30] As for those who declare, our Creator and Sustainer is Allah and then faithfully follow His guidance, Our missionaries come to them for encouragement and support saying, let nothing worry or grieve you instead rejoice because of the good news about establishment of blissful kingdom that has been promised to you.

31] We are your supporters in life as it is at present as well as in life as it will be in the future. Therein you will find all that your person will desire because therein you will have all that you will work for.

32] Something that will result due to your following of provided blissful program that provides life of security.

33] So who is better in speech than the one who calls people towards guidance of Allah therefore acts to facilitate growth and development of mankind and says, I commit to working according to a way of life that leads to life of peaceful existence?

34] Works of people that make life of mankind beautiful are not same as works of people that make life of mankind ugly. So replace works that make life of humanity ugly by works that make life of mankind beautiful because that way between you and any who has animosity with you will become your cordial friend.

35] However none can attain such mindset, attitude and behaviour save those who constantly and consistently make effort towards this goal and none can attain such personality save those who strive for it greatly.

36] So if at any time you the mankind are tempted by the harmful and destructive leadership to inflict harm and destruction upon each other, seek protection against that by bringing about the kingdom based upon guidance of Allah. He is indeed the One fully aware of all things therefore makes things obvious for mankind to follow the proper course of actions.

37] Among His lessons to observe and learn from are the night, the day, the sun and the moon. Do not submit yourselves to the sun or the moon instead submit yourselves to guidance of Allah Who created them if you truly wish to abide by His guidance.

38] Yet if they seek dominance against each other by undermining each other by disregarding Our guidance then let them know that people who are faithfully following guidance of their Creator and Sustainer strive hard to manifest His glorify day and night and never think of themselves above the need for His guidance.

39] Moreover among His lessons to observe and learn from is land which you see as barren but when We send down rain upon it, it is stirred to life thereby its yields increase. Surely He Who gives life to it can also raise the nations that have fallen by inspiring them back to life fully motivated and energised. Certainly He has set-up systems and laws to govern all affairs of all things.

40] Surely those who oppose Our set out goals and guidelines for mankind have no regard for Our guidance but which people fare better the ones who end up in their self created fire of hatred by ignoring Our guidance or the ones who come through challenges of life safe and sound on the day appointed because of following Our guidance? Do things as you choose but surely He has proper understanding of what you ought to be doing.

This verse is telling mankind that there are people who do not learn enough to appreciate value of divine guidance and as a result keep on living on basis of survival of the fittest which is life of divisions and hatred and wars leading to terrible damage and destruction upon humanity by human beings themselves. The idea is as people live as rivals and rivalry heats up people become so divided that a day comes when one group rises up against the other. This uprising is inevitable so long as people carry on living for themselves at the expense of each other. On the contrary people who learn sufficiently to be able to appreciate value of divine guidance therefore live by it they also end up establishing the promise kingdom and that is how they avoid harm and destruction of the day of uprising that their opponents face. Allah is telling mankind that being a creator and sustainer of this universe and things in it he has knowledge about things therefore can give advice on how people should live. This verse also tells mankind that they are free to do as they please and are not bound by what is said to be inevitable predestined future. In other words the Quran rejects the idea of fatalism. The Quran explains things in a very straight forward way that God has set up systems and laws and anyone who does anything gets the outcome linked to those actions eg if one puts his hand in fire it gets burnt but if one does not then it does not get burnt. Whether one puts one’s hand in fire or not is up to oneself not up to Allah because he does not interfere in matters he has set for people to deal with as they choose. Or that set-up systems and laws of Allah play their role and man plays his role and the outcome is result of participation of all participants. Allah has created man like a self programming robot with clues here and there to guide him. Man does not need such guidance from Allah like a blind man is taken by his hand and helped across the busy road. Man has been given great brain, senses and body to accomplish great things just like what he has accomplished so far though he could have done even better had he paid attention to divine guidance as he ought to. It is because rivalry between people has wasted a lot of human energy and effort because it has been dissipated by rivalries between people instead of accomplishing the needed tasks. So man has not learned enough yet to realise his such great mistakes in living his life.

41] Surely those who try to prevent Our this message from spreading properly- because it has come to them despite the fact that it is a mighty book containing program, constitution and law for them-

42] cannot overcome it through their falsehood be it by open confrontation or their secret plotting. It is sent by the wise ruler of this universe whose glory is self evident for those who have attained the eye to observe to understand things properly.

43] Nothing is said to you O messenger by these people of yours that was not said to the messengers before you. The fact is, your Creator and Sustainer is provider of guidance for securing blissful and dignified existence of mankind as well as the One Who has set-up systems and laws to deliver painful outcome of terrible actions by mankind against each other.

44] Had We revealed this Quran to you in a language other than Arabic they would have said, why its messages have not been made clearly distinct for our understanding? Why it is in a language that is incapable of clarity when the nature of the message demands clarity? Say O messenger, it is a guidance and solution for all problems for those who commit to working for unity, peace, progress and prosperity of mankind but those who do not commit to working for unity, peace, progress and prosperity of mankind in their invitation to their way of life is crookedness yet it remains hidden on them due to their keeping themselves from wider awareness. The state of awareness of these people is such as if they are being called upon from a great distance.

This verse is drawing human attention to so many different points. One of them being why the Quran is sent in Arabic instead of any other language. As already explained elsewhere that Arabic is a unique language in this era because it links mankind to their past languages as well as their future languages. The root system and concepts attached to roots makes it most suitable language for divine message because things change and languages change over time and if a message is sent for a long period of time then a language that can preserve such a message and its clarity is a necessity. For this purpose people should study what language experts have written in the past about Arabic as a language and about the text of the Quran. By knowing each of them and how they work together one will realise how the Quranic text and the language of the text support each other. Arabic is not a grammar based language rather grammar is derived from Arabic text of the Quran because the Quranic text was the only text that was used by Arabs to preserve their language and its use. This is why all Arabic dictionaries are written by quoting the Quranic verses in their support for determining the meanings of words and phrases. This is why if any text has been misunderstood by writers of interpretations and explanations of the Quran or writers of dictionaries then it could still be corrected without any need for change in the Quranic text. One has to realise that languages came about naturally as result of human migration which led to separation between groups of mankind as humanity spread throughout the world. Not only that but languages were also invented by some people to exclude others from knowing what they were up to. This is how secret or spy languages were brought about by one section of same community against the others to secure their personal interests and gains. This is why languages came about or were brought about by people for various reasons to suit themselves.

This is why no interpretation of the Quran and no dictionary of Arabic language is correct unless the author of the writing properly understood the text one interpreted to begin with. Later works where they are based upon old mistaken works therefore cannot be and should not be accepted authentic. All this because the Quran is consistent within itself as well as with respect to real world realities. Any irrational interpretation of the Quran is therefore false but why people will write false interpretations of the Quran? This has been explained already because the Quran is full of verses where it tells us that people throughout times and places have been targeting the divine guidance in order to cover it up or to drown it or bury it or destroy it in any way they could in order to live their lives the way they wished free of any set limits. Personal gain based mindsets, attitudes and behaviours always attacked the idea of human community which is at the heart of Quranic message. This is why even today people can see how much emphasis is placed upon personal success at the expense of human cost. Just as imperial power became concentrated in a few hands and gave way to power of mullaism and just as mullah power concentrated into a few hands and gave rise to power struggles between monarchs and mullahs that paved the way for money lenders. The money power is also becoming concentrated into a few hands eg today less than 1% of human population has more money power than whole of rest of human population. So these people work together to prevent the clear Quranic message from reaching human population clearly because if it did their dominance our rest of humanity will come tumbling down. This is why they support all sorts of movements by mullahs or secularists that put the Quranic message in a bad light or in wrong contexts. DEEN versus Mazhab is part of foundational Quranic stance because way of life advised by Allah is in clear contrast to manmade ways of life. The Quran powerfully distinguishes between the two and argues for its stance perfectly throughout including this surah.

45] Before this Quran, We gave a book to Moses for guidance yet people with harmful and destructive mindsets, attitudes and behaviours created divisions among themselves. Had it not been for the guidance that came from your Creator and Sustainer the division between them would have resulted in their complete destruction yet the mankind dare keep each other confused about His guidance to such degree that it leads them to self destruction through instability of mind and action.

46] The message is clear that any people who act to help humanity grow and prosper do so for the benefit of their own kind and any people who inflict harm and destruction upon each other do so to harm and destroy their own kind because your Creator and Sustainer never lets harm and destruction come to a people who live by His guidance as a proper human community.

47] Upon response to His guidance rests how the Hour becomes an evident reality for mankind, a time of upheavals or accomplishment of His kingdom. No result appears before its action, nor a community carries through its responsibility or faces its outcome but according to His provided information about His set-up systems and laws. On the day when Allah will confront those who oppose His guidance through His set-up systems and laws saying, where are those rulers that you took for My partners in sovereignty of this universe? They will acknowledge that none of us can bear witness to right of their rulership in this universe.

This like verses in the Quran tell mankind that a time will come when people who try to fight against divine guidance will be forced by the facing situations and circumstances that the ruling systems they live by and people who gave them that ruling system are falsehood promoters because they will lead them to harmful and destructive ends they are warned against by the message of Allah.

48] That is how those upon whom they would have relied as rulers earlier will leave them in lurch because they will come to realise that they have no way to escape the situation they have brought upon themselves.

49] Mankind never get tired of seeking personal gains at the expense of each other yet as a result of this if any face harm and destruction at the hands of each other then such people fall in to despair losing all hope about recovering from this situation.

50] However even after this like affliction if We let any such people experience life of blissful existence due to program from Us yet each of them says, it all belongs exclusively to me and that I do not think that the bad time will ever come upon me and even if I am brought to the book according to my Creator and Sustainer, I still expect a beautiful treatment by Him. However the fact is We let the opponents of Our guidance know the outcome of all that they do in due course therefore We let them experience the pain suffering they bring upon themselves.

51] This is how when We bestow prosperity upon mankind due to Our blissful program one turns away and drifts off to the opposite way of life and when harm and destruction befalls him as a result, he comes up with lengthy list of desires to be out of this situation without really bothering to know Our program and acting upon it faithfully.

52] Say to such people O messenger, have you entertained the possibility that if this Quran is in actual fact from Allah
yet you oppose it then who can be more in loss than you the mankind who have gone too far in opposing it out of animosity towards each other?

The Quran draws attention to the point that to Allah all people are same as human beings but those who use their provided brains, senses and bodies properly to be real human beings instead of remaining animals are valued more. It is these people who should be valued by humanity as well who take mankind forward into better future. Any people who take mankind down the lane of harm and destruction should be stopped and educated out of their stupidity and ignorance or mankind cannot stay safe from their mischiefs unless they isolate them and corner them till they change their mindsets, attitudes and behaviours. This is why the Quranic program, constitution and guidelines for laws must be considered seriously by mankind to ensure not just their survival but dignified existence as well.

53] Let them know that if they will consider this Quran in detail then in due course We will draw their attention to Our stated evidences in the Quran about this universe as well as about their own persons until it becomes manifestly clear to them that this Quran is indeed based upon verifiable evidences. Is the Quran then not sufficient for their guidance because it is testimony of your Creator and Sustainer Who is a witness over everything?

This verse needs a huge explanation because it is one of the most comprehensive verses which is beyond scope of this work. Just one point for consideration of people that look at universal realities and human brains, senses and bodies as well as the Quranic program for mankind. See how complementary they are to each other. If people were like other animals then could they accomplish the Quranic program? Has any other animal been considered for the Quranic program? Is any other animal even close enough to human beings to be able to meet the divine standard set for human beings? What does all this tell us? It tells us that the universe and human beings and the Quran are all works of same highly intelligent being. Otherwise a monkey could not accomplish the Quranic program because it does not have the brain capacity to do that nor the senses or the body fit for that purpose. This is why no animal will ever invent things that mankind will invent for exploring and travelling the universe. Human beings are the ultimate living beings that Allah has created for giving them his program to fulfil his set goals. As explained already the Quran is a special book unlike any other book ever written by mankind. When people will start paying needed attention to this book they will find it contains banks full of useful information. This work is only the start to draw peoples’ attention towards it. The Quran is not a holy book for worshiping of any self centred God but a book that teaches mankind how to manage human population and given resources in order to show human capabilities and potential for development that Allah has placed in human beings so that people one day realise greatness of their creator through their own creativity. Worshiping as is thought of by people due to their own ignorance does not need all this that has been told about in the Quran. Sajdah simply means accepting the set out course of actions by the valid authority in the Quranic context ie submission to the program of Allah.

54] Are they still in doubt about living by set out standard for them by their Creator and Sustainer? Is it still not clear to them that all things are under His full control?
