Sayyiduna Abu Umamah رضی اللہ عنہ says that he asked, ‘Ya Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم! ‘Ya Rasulullah صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم! Tell me such an act that leads me to the Heaven.’ He صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم replied, ‘Make fast obligatory for you because there is no other deed like it.’ (Al-Ihsan bittartib Sahih Ibn Hibban, pp. 179, vol. 5, Hadis 3416)
