Tennis star Aisamul Haq’s marriage that broke many hearts is close to an unexpected end, Express News reported on Sunday.
Express News quoted family sources as saying that differences between Haq and wife Faha Akmal, has led to the couple deciding to part ways. They added that Haq has couriered divorce papers to Akmal, who is currently residing in London.
The sources said that the marriage was dotted by “issues” ever since the couple had gotten married.
Akmal and Haq, who were engaged for six months prior to their wedding, could not get along well. The couple stayed together in Haq’s Lahore residence for some time following which Akmal had been living in London, with her parents. Haq used to visit Akmal.
The decision of separation was mutual.
Pakistan tennis star Haq had tied the knot with Akmal in December, 2011, at an elaborate ceremony in Lahore.
