Victorian Paper Gown of Maps and Money






Susan Stockwell made Victorian gowns from maps and various bills are in a class of their own. These paper dresses are composed of ordinance survey maps and English bills glued together. Based on styles of dresses worn by English women explorers during the Victorian period, the artist honors their role in history.
