Oh how my heart yearns for
Spring
With its promise of
Warmth
Laughter
Hope

Hope
Full of promise
Of joy
Of dreams.

Ah dreams
Of a better tomorrow
Of smiles, joy, laughter
Of happy ever after.

But in sneaks reality
Turning dreams to nightmares
Dashing away hope
Leaving one empty
And lost
Within
The winter
Of their soul

So when you walk away
Walk swiftly
Don’t look back.
For I have turned
And returned
To Winter

Spring is an eternity
