Sometimes I sit and wonder why do I write

And what inspires me
What creates this feeling that I share
That urge that encourages me to pick up my pen

Still words cannot describe my feelings
But I know these feelings now are real
And I have to face it
Yet I have my pen to write

No matter how many poems I write
My feelings are still untold and puzzled
Betrayed so many times by what I thought was true
Betrayed by those I loved and those I thought I knew

My soul is giving testimony of my feelings
The words that flow to my mind
Yet my pen is my assurance
Sometimes I sit and wonder why do I write
