Open My Computer and paste this in the address bar or you may browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc , you will find the file named "HOSTS" Click it... Open it in notepad and go to the end of the page You will find "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.gmail.com below "127.0.0.1 localhost" , and save it (Next line) and that site will be blocked. That's all... |

It is possible to block websites form the browser:
For Internet Explorer. “Tools” > “Internet Option” >hit “Content” tab and in the Content Advisor area click on “Enable” button Hit the “Approved Sites” tab In the “Allow this website” field type the URL of the website that you would like to block Then enable the supervisor password: in the Content Advisor area hit the “General” tab. In User Option area check both boxes and in Supervisor password area hit the “Create password” button. Type the password and hit the “OK” button Block websites in Firefox 1. For blocking website in Firefox, you have to download an add-on for Firefox, named BlockSite, because is no other way. Just download this add-on (hXXps://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3145) and install it. 2. Open Firefox and in the menu bar click on the “Tools” and select “Add-ons” 3. Hit the ”Options” button of BlockSite add-on 4. Hit the “Add” button and enter the websites you want to block 5. Enable authentication by checking the box, and type a password to protect your settings Block websites in Opera 1.
