Main mareez hoon tere qurb ka
 
Tum gaye dino'n main jo saath they
Merey qalb o jaan ka suboot they

Yeh bilavajah tera roothna
Meri zindagi ko mita na dey

Terey saamney mere ham nafs
Meri dharkano'n ki bisaat kiya

Tere is tarha mujhey daikhna
Kahin meri umr ghata na dey

Tujhey elm hai aey Tabeeb e Jaan
Tere pyaar meri hayaat hai!

Main mareez hoon tere qurb ka
Mujhey door ja k davaa na dey

Yahan sab Andheir parast hain
Yahan roshni ki majaal kiya!

Yeh charaagh phir bhi charaagh hain
Koi aatey jaatey bujha na dey...
