janey wo kaise loog they jin kai piyar ko piyar mila
hum nai to jab kalyan mangeen' kantoon ka haar mila

Khushyoon ki manzil dhoondhi tu gham ki gard mili
chahat kai naghmey chahey tu aah sard mili
dil kai bojh ko doona kar gaya jo ghum khaar mila
bichar gaya har sathi dai kar pal do pal ka sath
kis ko fursat hai jo thamey diwanoo ka hath
hum ko apna saya tak aksar bezar mila
is ko hi jeena kehte hain tu yuun hi jee lainge
