zindaan na thi basti

azaad na the rishte

khaljaan na thi hasti

yun maut na thi sasti !

yeh aaj jo soorat hai

halaat na the aise

yun ghair na the mausam

dln raat na the aise

tafreeq na thi aisi

sunjog na the aise

aey waqt gawahi de
