Ras Malai
Serves 4 people Easy recipe and works everytime. Ingredients 1 cup milk powder 1 no. egg 1 tbsp maida 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp ghee 5 cups milk sugar to taste 1/2 tsp elaichi (cardamom) pdr. a pinch saffron 8 to 10 pistachioss Directions In a vessel mix milk and sugar and boil it for 10 mins. Add elaichi pdr and saffron. Let it boil on a slow flame Mix milk powder, maida and baking powder well. Add one lightly beaten egg and ghee. Knead it into a dough. Make 20-22 small balls of it. Put these balls into the boiling milk. Cook for 10-12 mins. Remove from heat. Garnish it with finely chopped pistachios. Serve it cool. |
