I remember the day
when I was born
The day I had been planted
with lots of love.
A gal with her father
trying to know me
who admired my tender stem
and the soft leaf.
I remembered the day
I was first loved
By a bird who made
me its home.
With all the twigs it got
and all the care it built
it gave me a beautiful gift
its trust.
I remembered the day
when I was happy
when I had wished God
to always give me that day.
The day when a boy
came and hugged me
for giving him the shade
and a friend to play.
I remember all days
but don’t know if its worth
being remembered
and smiled at.
All my life
I saw all the seasons
saw many people
and saw many creatures.
But never felt the
true hand that held me
who led me right
and loved me unconditionally.
I realize that the world
where we live
have a habit to love
only for a reason.
It is my last day
for I know I have to die
but have learnt and want to say
please don’t love me only for a reason.
