Here are Some of the Common Herbal Home Remedies for Curing Hiccups Fast and Effectively:
Fresh Ginger: Suck 2-3 small pieces of fresh ginger. This helps in curing hiccups fast and effectively.

Sandalwood Oil: Sniff some sandalwood oil on a cotton ball.

Hold your Breath: Hold your breath as long as possible, and then at once let it go out. The lungs expand and push down on the diaphragm, stopping hiccups immediately.

Mustard Seeds: Mix about 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds with 1/2 tsp pure ghee. Take this mixture as it will help to stop hiccups.

Yoghurt: Eating a some yogurt with a pinch of salt added is a good house hold remedy.

Acupressure: Press the end of a finger into each ear for 20 seconds.

A new Way of Drinking Water: Drink a glass of water from the far side of the glass. You have to bend far forward to do this without dribbling all over yourself.

Peanut Butter: For some eating a spoonful of peanut butter stops hiccups immediately. It can work for children also.

Cardamom: Grind 4 cardamom well. Boil this grinded mixture in 2½ cups or ½ litre of water.

Deep Breaths: Take a deep breathe through your mouth, lean forward and push down your stomach. Hold in that position as long as you can and then slowly exhale the air through your mouth.

Ice Bag: You may also keep an ice bag on the diaphragm to eliminate hiccups.
