kaha tha kis ne ke ahad-e-vafa karo us se
jo yon kiya hai to phir kyon gila karo us se
ye ahl-e-baz tunak hausala sahi phir bhi
zara fasana-e-dil ibtida karo us se
ye kya ke tum hi gam-e-hijr ke fasane kaho
kabhi to us ke bahane suna karo us se
nasib phir koi taqrib-e-qarb ho ke na ho
jo dil main hon vahi batain kiya karo us se
'Faraz' tark-e-ta'alluq to khair kya hoga
yahi bahut hai ke kam kam mila karo us se ...
