Though, sharing media is an amazing feature, but the current WhatsApp version automatically download images even if you are not interested in it and no option is available for you to disable it. If yes, this time we are here with a hack that will allow you to disable “WhatsApp auto image download” on your Android device :

*Before you begin, you need :

An Android device running 2.1 or higher version.
WhatsApp Plus app (Follow “Share to get” button to download).

*How to Setup WhatsApp Plus app on your Android:

Uninstall the previous WhatsApp version present on your droid. If you are concerned about losing your chats, it’s better to back up them. For this, head over to WhatsApp –> Move onto settings –> Chat Settings –> Backup Conversations.
Done with uninstalling the previous version? If yes, install the downloaded WhatsApp Plus app.
Open WhatsApp Plus app from app drawer. For the first time only, it’ll ask you to verify your account. Simply verify it, just as you did it earlier.
Now, open Settings and move onto Chat settings.
Simply Uncheck Auto-download images.
Now you are all set to disable auto image download on WhatsApp.
